The 'little one' from Coolock spent four (downstairs-less) days in happening Whitewater and then me and her trooped off to Chicago for a week. It was fun and this is the hotel we stayed at. We took photos all right but someone (pointin no elbows Miss Whyte) dropped the camera in the bath!!! So we have a total of three photos! oh well, it was a fun time non the less...i think a digital camera is our answer Rita.

Gettin' our tourist thang on

The gang doing our touris thing in Philly. Collie appears to be telling Martin a very interesting fact, while Lisa fixes her hair... That's the Ben Franklin building in the background, it used to be the tallest building, then they built the liberty buildings higher, which they think has jinxed all their sports teams who havent won anything since...maybe they're just shit! Amy

It's actually the William Penn building, otherwise Philly would be in Franksylvania( nice idea), anyhoo, its not that they are sgit , they have been to a monkey load of finals in basketball, hockey and football since 83, they just ain't one since his pedestal was taken. Collie

All the gang in Philly

This is some of the lovely people we were hanging out wit in Philly.

Something fallic about this shot

Rocky, Rocky, Rocky!!

Oh yes, 'tis the very steps big sly stallone climbed!! It's a big thing that everyone races up the steps. Just before we raced a line of people the whole width of the steps raced up, alorra fun! Amy

Just noticed i'm beatin the armagh's boy ass down, ONE STEP BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!!! Look how the boy cheats, he knows how big i am , so if he throws out a hand , he's bound to grab something......................CHEATIN BASTARd.

thats armagh all over, cheat to win.............. thats why hurling rules. COLLIE

Tea and Tayto and fry up, happy, happy, happy!!

Love Square

Random or what?! Collie doesn't like it, but I think it's quirky, it's pink! Amy

Ahm ..it was a bit naff really, i really thought it looked shite. I'll tell u how shite, the idea of the fountain is that u look through it and see the Philly Museum of Arts(the one that Rocky ran up the steps of),see above, which during the a normal spray of water, when looking up International drive(Franklin boulevard) is amazing, THIS IS PINK WATER, I did tell people about the sight of the Museum beyond, didn't sink in.IT'S PINK WATER, like somebody dropped a fake blood capsule in it. Dye great, amazing architecture.............lets go with the dye. U CAN'T EVEN SEE THE MUSEUM IN THE PHOTO......THERE'S A LOAD OF PINK CRAP IN THE WAY ...........COLLIE

Collie and his boy Stephen

Ikeep mentioning Stephen so this is the man himself. He put us up for the weekend and sorted us with free tickets for the gig and generally made sure we had a chilled weekend. Amy B

Tick it off the dream list!

Finally I get a ride on a Harley! It's been a long time coming. This is Shane who we met in Philly. My hair was wet before we left, but a couple side streets later at 50mph and sorted that!

Tasty tequila S'martin??!

Back at Stephen's pub on South Street after the gig. We spent a lot of time here all weekend; chomping down on Philly cheesesteak sambos and popping out to the tres chic shops that surround it. It had a Soho feel, but more unique and initmate (mmm...I like that word it appears)

Glen liked my T-shirt!

Before the gig in Philly, we met Glen outside Stephen's pub. I was wearing my corn flakes t-shirt, which Glen thought was "very cool". Therefore when I met him again outside surrounded by people I just shouted "Cornflakes" (hammered of course) so he shunned the rest and came over to chat to me again. Gig was great, wasn't a big Frames fan before, but was well impressed, and the venue was very cute and intimate, Amy B

New best friend Josh Ritter

Cat and Luke, I hear you are fans so look away now!! He was wearing a lurvely tux jacket, very smart. Collie spotted him behind a curtain after the show, so myself and the mc caghy progressed in going over and pulling the curtain back. He's playing in Ireland next year.

Martins truest form

Lovely shot of the boy crummy, playin Wisconsins 2nd favorite sport, beer pong, soon to be comin to Ireland. idea is to throw a ping-pong ball into a cup of beer, 1 of 6 in a triangle. When the ball lands in it , you drink it. Bad players get worse as they progressivly get drunk, Mart and i ain't too bad, this was 9:30 in the morning before the game. Lovely flow to the wrists don't u think

How the wis was won

o.k now not too many games at home kick off at 11 in the mornin, but because of the pressures of t.v and scheduling our College team in the BIG TEN Division, Uni Wisconsin Badgers did(yeah how dare they take our blogs name and attach it to a team) ...so only one thing to do--Madison the night before and early for the game, i mean 9a.m early. drinking beast(Milwalkie's best [the rest must be shit]), beer-ponging (check Martins style) and shots of vodka, thats a Saturday morning for ya. Screw yer fry ups people.

Anyhow we (amy and i) blagged two 50yard line tickets behind the Badgers and Mart and Lisa were in seats.......seats! this is our amy in the 3rd quarter after a couple of Bratwersts and Nachos. The Badgers won 41-17, ranked top ten in country now, so the state has gone nuts.

Oddly i'm still into the baseball more, too many breaks in football. Whay too many

did i mention i ain't that far from home

heres the sausage

funny stuff, 4 oversized sausages running around the field, pushin, trippin and signin autographs. Crowd goes nuts. And Carrick rugby won.

their evil in a nice way here

went to the brewers game in Miller Park( not a gaa pitch named after steven) the new baseball field in Milwalkie, designed in Europe, built by Japanese, filled by fat people. And oddly Sith footsoldiers on their days off apparently. Anyway last home game of the season, Brewers won, the Carrick sausage won the race, (rugby colours, number 2) and the jedi's don't eat cheese. Packers hat, packers Hat.

$7 beer though, wots that about, the night before in our bar, it's $7 all u can drink, yes i did say all u can drink. thats a lot.

By the way thats our man Sam Martino (o'Martin) good guy, drives an Impala( screw u 50 cents) he is the G unit, geriatric
